Club Benefits

Along with facilities, classes, and knowledge sharing, Auroraland Archers is a great way to meet a lot of new people. The club actively participates in community events and archery competitions. We have our own leagues and tournaments, but also participate in other leagues and tournaments at both a state and national level. You decide which path you want to take and how far you want to take it.
Hunter at nightAuroraland Archers does not specialize in one specific style or type of archery, we specialize in all of them from Olympic style shooting to Bowhunting. Our members are familiar with recurve, longbow, and compound bow equipment along with accessories, shooting styles, and just about anything archery related anyone could imagine.

Other benefits are that as a member of Auroraland Archers you are included in interclub relations, you can be granted access to some area private clubs for the purposes of competition without having to be a member of that club.

The members and the organization are a wealth of archery knowledge and the most important benefit of all is that archery is open to be learned by every person from as early as age 8. Archers come in many shapes and sizes and unlike other some sports, strong athletic ability is not required to participate.
Archery is one of the safest sports known to exist and is only slighly more dangerous that bowling. Archery is known throughout world and dates back thousands of years. If a sport / skill such as archery has lasted this long, there must be a reason. Come find out why.

Feel free to browse this site. We hope you decide to try archery out and join our ranks. Archery does not require federal, state, or local licensing to participate. Licensing is required in most states for the purposes of bowhunting for wildlife. Please visit the Illinois Department of Natural Resources for more information and restrictions regarding bow hunting and licensing.
